About Room Haina
Room Haina started from a simple, very common problem: someone arrives in a new city with a week to find a room, does not know the area, does not know which listings are genuine, and has a limited budget and no time.
What follows is usually a fortnight of phone calls to places that are already full, prices that change between the advert and the visit, photographs that are years old, and middlemen adding a fee for very little.
We think that is a solvable problem. Room Haina focuses on the four things that actually reduce the uncertainty: is this place real, what does it genuinely cost, is it actually available, and who am I speaking to.
What we care about
The principles we build against
Moving to a new city is hard enough. Finding somewhere to live should not be the worst part of it.
Honesty over polish
If we have not verified something, we say so. If availability is stale, we label it. We would rather be trusted than look impressive.
No hidden costs
Costs are broken down in full. Nobody should discover a charge at the point of moving in.
Direct connections
Renters talk to owners. We do not insert ourselves into that conversation or take a cut of it.
Renters first
Owners are our customers, but the product is judged on whether it helps a renter decide faster and more confidently.
